"Hope at Every Turn"
Martin Memorial Health Systems (MMHS) is proud to offer caring, compassionate healthcare services to members of the Treasure Coast community.
MMHS is composed of two hospitals, three MediCenters, and numerous centers and clinics. The system is a not-for-profit, community-based health care organization that offers preventative, primary and acute hospital care, as well as cancer care, wellness and rehabilitation services, and much more. Our services provide care for residents throughout the Treasure Coast, including Stuart, Jensen Beach, Hobe Sound, Palm City and Port St. Lucie.
The Robert and Carol Weissman Cancer Center at Martin Memorial provides excellent cancer treatment services to patients and their families close to home. Some of the very best treatments for cancer are available on our campus, and our affiliation with H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa allows us to collaborate with the very best doctors and access the latest research, drug protocols and treatments.
Martin Memorial is also home to a state-of-the-art cardiac care center. The Frances Langford Heart Center offers the full spectrum of cardiac care, including open-heart surgery and advanced interventional services such as angioplasty, stenting and valve replacement. The heart center includes two dedicated operating rooms, two cardiac catheterization labs and eight cardiovascular intensive care unit rooms.
Our two hospitals in Stuart have 344 hospital beds – 244 at Martin Memorial Medical Center and 100 at Martin Memorial Hospital South. Approximately 375 physicians and 2,900 associates are dedicated to providing care for our patients. More than 800 volunteers give nearly 170,000 hours annually – the equivalent of 88 full-time employees.
Martin Memorial is accredited by the Joint Commission, one of the most respected accreditations in the nation. Martin Memorial Medical Center and Martin Memorial Hospital South are four-time national winners of the Top 100 Hospitals recognition, and the entire health system is a five-time winner of the Top 100 Integrated Health System recognition.
Our Mission
The mission and vision of an organization are more than just words on paper – they are statements of why we are here, what our goals are and help us to define our essential purpose.
With new opportunities and challenges in health care, now is the time to revise the mission and vision to more accurately reflect the way we provide care for the community. After much thought and discussion, our board of directors recently approved a new mission and vision for Martin Memorial.
Mission: To provide exceptional health care, hope and compassion to every patient, every time.
Vision: To be recognized as an exceptional health care system by our patients, physicians, associates, volunteers and community.
Values: Collaboration, Accountability, Respect and Excellence (CARE).
The new mission and vision reflect our commitment to provide exceptional care. They also emphasize how partnerships with all of our stakeholders can create a healing environment for every person who walks through our doors. And by incorporating the CARE values into each interaction with patients, their families, physicians, volunteers and each other, we will achieve our vision.
