Artist Invitational draws inspiration from cancer

Recently, 13 local artists displayed works of art – many of which were inspired by experiences they or loved ones have had with cancer – at the inaugural Robert and Carol Weissman Cancer Center Artist Invitational. On Oct. 1, Martin Memorial Health Systems will officially become tobacco free at all of its sites. St. Lucie Medical Center in Port St. Lucie will become tobacco free starting with the Great American Smokeout on Nov. 20 and will begin strict enforcement on Jan. 1, 2009.
