STUART, Fla., June 23, 2010 – The Martin Memorial Health and Fitness Centers are offering three ways to help people looking to improve their fitness this summer. They include:
· A special three-month membership for just $98. The three-month membership is a convenient opportunity for people who will be on the Treasure Coast for just the summer to meet their fitness needs. The offer expires July 31.
· Students between the ages of 8 and 23 years of age can take advantage of a three-month membership for just $79. A valid student ID must be presented. The offer expires Aug. 31.
· A 12-week summer weight-loss challenge called Fit to Lose. The comprehensive weight-loss and fitness program is designed to achieve a positive lifestyle change for adults and children ages 8 and older.
The program features an initial fitness assessment, as well as cholesterol and glucose screenings. An individualized exercise program will be developed by a certified trainer, and participants will receive bi-weekly motivational and nutritional discussions. Prizes will be awarded every four weeks to the person with the highest percentage of weight lost, and additional prizes will be provided at the end of the program.
