When a loved one dies, often the family wishes to recognize those who compassionately cared for that person. Or, the family may wish to continue a legacy of giving that was begun by the loved one.

Making contributions in memory of your loved one is a wonderful way to say thank you to caregivers and honor your loved one's memory. You may also invite others to make memorial contributions. This notice normally appears with the obituary in your local paper using the suggested language below:

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Martin Memorial Foundation to benefit (state your area of interest) at Martin Memorial Health Systems. Please send your gift to the Martin Memorial Foundation, P.O. Box 9010, Stuart, FL 34995.
