Chrysanthemum Ball
The Chrysanthemum Ball, or Mum Ball, is the premiere event of the Treasure Coast's fall social season. Held in November of each year, the ball, which will celebrate its twelfth anniversary in 2006, raises more than $1 million a year. The proceeds benefit programs at Martin Memorial s
uch as a PET/CT scanner, the cardiac care center, and much more.
Each year, guests dine and dance the night away in black-tie style. In 2005, the ball was held in the 24,000-square-foot airplane hangar at the Stuart Jet Center, and featured a high-flying Cirque de Chrysanthemum acrobatic performance. In 2004, the ball was hosted by Jim and Judy Rose at their spectacular oceanfront estate in the Sailfish Point community in Stuart.
Chrysanthemum Ball seats start at $1,500 for two; sponsorship packages are available up to $100,000. More than 500 guests attend the gala, typically a sell-out by mid summer. Early reservations are strongly recommended! Be sure to check this Web site in the spring for the Mum Ball date and tickets.

The Robert F. Novins Memorial Golf Tournament
The Robert F. Novins Memorial Golf Tournament is an annual event held to honor the memory of Robert F. Novins and raise funds to benefit the Robert and Carol Weissman Cancer Center at Martin Memorial.
This popular tournament was launched in 2002 by brother and sister team Beth and Carson Novins to remember their father and his battle with cancer. Today, the event is hosted by Carson Novins in partnership with the Martin Memorial Foundation in memory of one of Robert's favorite pastimes, a round of golf. The tournament is held in late spring each year.
