Medical Fitness Program Debuts for Health and Fitness Centers
In April, the Martin Memorial Health and Fitness Centers implemented medical fitness standards and specially-trained fitness personnel who can help members improve disease management through fitness and integrate fitness with clinical care already being given.
Health and fitness personnel at Martin Memorial have undergone special training and obtained advanced certifications to ensure members get the best possible instruction, personal training, fitness assessments and other services. The health and fitness centers are also overseen by a health and safety committee, led by medical doctors and clinical personnel. The committee provides guidance and recommendations for programming at the fitness centers.

Golf Event Raises Funds to Help Fight Hearing Loss in Kids
Martin Memorial will host the Second Annual Associates with Heart Golf Gala and Dinner on Saturday, June 14 at The Legacy Golf and Tennis Club in St. Lucie West.
Proceeds from this event will go towards the purchase of the Audera Audiology System for the Martin Memorial Pediatric Rehabilitation Department. Audera testing can identify and treat hearing-impaired children at very early ages. Martin Memorial’s therapists, with the help of the Audera System, will have the chance to change the lives of hundreds of babies, children and families on the Treasure Coast.
Check out the golf gala, or call David Moore at (772) 223-2885 for sponsorship information and to register for the event. |
