Healing Arts Program brings music to Martin Memorial for holidays
Beginning Dec. 8, the main lobbies of Martin Memorial Medical Center , Martin Memorial Hospital South, and the Robert and Carol Weissman Cancer Center will be transformed into a performance venue for musicians of all sorts during the holiday season.
Offered through a partnership between Martin Memorial and the Arts Council of Martin County, the Healing Arts Program is aimed at engaging patients and visitors with soothing music to promote a therapeutic atmosphere.

Martin Memorial celebrates renovation, renaming of David L. Smythe Wound Center
For five years, the Martin Memorial Wound Medicine Center has provided award-winning care to residents of the Treasure Coast . Last month, the center began delivering the same care at a new location and with a new name.
The David L. Smythe Wound Center officially opened its doors with an unveiling ceremony honoring its namesake.

Scholarships now available for students studying health care
Martin Memorial Health Systems, in conjunction with the Martin Memorial Auxiliary, is offering scholarships to residents of Martin and St. Lucie counties who are pursuing degrees related to health care.
Scholarship applications are available online at www.mmhs.com. The deadline for submission is Jan. 30, 2009 .
