Get insight on your heart health at "A Matter of the Heart" cardiac screening
On Saturday, Jan. 24, you can find out valuable information that could save your life.
Prevention and early detection are keys to avoiding heart attacks, which is why Martin Memorial is hosting a cardiac screening event called A Matter of the Heart, from 7 to 11 a.m. at the Martin Memorial St. Lucie West MediCenter located at 1095 N.W. St. Lucie West Blvd., Ste. 102 in Port St. Lucie

Programs can help fulfill New Year's resolutions
It’s the time of year when many people resolve to change their bad habits and improve their health.
Two of the most popular resolutions people make are losing weight and quitting smoking. The Martin Memorial Center for Health and Healing has two programs taking place in January that can help people reach those health goals for 2009.

"Run for Your Heart" benefits heart center
Most people know that running can provide them with valuable health benefits. But on Feb. 7, running can benefit the health of others as well. The third-annual “Fleet Feet Run for Your Heart” features a 5K run and a 1-mile walk, with proceeds from the event going to the Frances Langford Heart Center at Martin Memorial.
