Course Objectives
The basic rhythm interpretation course introduces the learner to the normal electrical activity of the heart:
- Measurements and identification of basic cardiac rhythms
- Examines general guidelines for treatment of common dysrhythmias

Who Should Take This Course
This course is designed for RNs, LPNs, student nurses, PCTs, scope/monitor techs, and other health professionals and community members who are interested.
Class Fees
If this certification is required for your job, your department will pay the class fees. A manager's signature is not required. If this course is NOT required for your job, or is only required for float status, contact (772) 223-5945, ext. 4178.
If you work in an area that does not require EKG, you will be expected to pay the fee at the time you pick up your materials. Fees are payable to Martin Memorial Health Systems, Medical Library, 200 S.E. Hospital Ave., Stuart, FL 34995.
Associates - $90
Non-Associates - $135
Book and materials are included in the cost of the course.

Deadlines and Cancellations
Pre-reqistration is required for this class. Registration must be completed one week prior to class start date. Refunds will be issued, less the $45 book cost, for cancellations completed before the class start date, or for the full amount if you return the book packet unopened.
There are NO REFUNDS FOR NO-SHOWS! You must notify the Learning & O.D. Dept. if you are unable to attend. It is your responsibility to confirm your status prior to class.
Class Materials
All attendees must sign out a book at least one week prior to the beginning of course at the Medical Library, on the first floor of Martin Memorial Medical Center, across from Conference Room B. Pre-course work is required! Completion of weekly assignments is directly related to successful completion of the course.
CEUs
Fourteen (14) CEUs are available for many licensed professionals. Attendance at every session is required to receive CEUs. No partial credit is given.
