The Customer Training Program

Welcome to “The Customer”!

Please review course details before registering. Complete program information can be found on MartinLink, under: “Customer Star Training” or “Learning & Organizational Development/Education Dept.”

The Customer is a 6 week program. ALL classes need to be attended to meet course requirements, and receive certificate of completion.

Your first session is called the "Initial", 4 hour session (Lunch or continental breakfast will be provided at this session). After that, you will meet each week in a "follow up" session (morning or afternoon, no lunch served). These sessions are 1 1/2 hours long.

In order to complete the program, you will need to attend one session each week. If you miss a scheduled session, you may attend any other day in the same week. If you are unable to attend any of the sessions within a week, you will have the chance to make up any missed sessions at the end of the 6 weeks in –in a future class. To make up missed sessions, register online for the follow up sessions that you missed in any upcoming 6 wk session. Upon completion, you will receive your certificate.

Even if you miss a session, please continue to go each week.

Please be sure to sign in at each class to get credit for attending!
 
Clock Code # 67: All associates are to be paid for attending this class. If you are on-duty, no special clock-in procedure is required. If you are off-duty, you will need to clock -in and clock-out for all mandatory time. Please use the clock code # 67 in this case.
 

Customer Make up Class

The Customer Make up Class (GVALHI Refresher) has moved from a live class to a new course posted on Hospital U.

This new course is available for anyone who needs to make up past missed classes (eligibility listed under requirements below) or for anyone who would like to be refreshed on how to deliver great Customer Service!

Requirements:

If you attended The Customer prior to 2009, and missed classes – then this course is for you. To be eligible for this online refresher, you must have attended the first 4 hour initial session and at least 2 follow up sessions.

For associates who missed more than 2 follow up sessions, or who began the program in 2009, you will need to sign up for an upcoming live session - for the same follow up weeks that you missed.

Class dates


Refer to the current class calendar before registering online. Classes are subject to change, so the previously posted schedules may not be the most up to date. (Hint: Print the calendar and circle the classes you want before registering. The printout will also remind you of your class dates, times and locations!)

Before registering:

- Print your calendar for dates, times, & locations (if unsure of locations-please confirm prior to the day of your class)

- All information on the registration form with a red *asterick is required information.

If you area licensed Nurse, CNA, or Respiratory Therapist,you may receive 11.5 CEUs for completing The Customer. Please provide your license information on the registration form to get credit.
 
Due to specific requirements from each licensing board, CEUs will be issued for Nursing, CNA, and Respiratory licensed associates. 11.5 CEUs will be provided after completion of the 6 week consecutive program, without any missed week, and receipt of class certificate. CEU credit will not be issued if the Associate does not attend all 6 sessions.
